My LG G2 is out for repair, probably for 2 weeks given their track record. I saved my old phone, an original Droid Razr to use for situations like this. The battery on it lasts about an hour and a half, and the camera doesn't work.
I was thinking of buying a refurbed or new phone for a spare, one I can just pop the sim card in and use alternately with my G2. I was thinking that I'd use the phone for my trail runs and mountain bike rides also in the future. All I really need is decent battery life, smaller form factor, and around $100. I assume it has to be a 4g phone also.
The G2 is a fragile phone, and a bit too large to fit in my fuel belt when trail running etc. The story behind that phone is that I cracked the screen on it, sent it in to be repaired, and they sent it back and the GPS did not work so I had to resend it back.
The wife is also hard on phones, and we usually always have to have one spare phone between us, we are very active and use our phones a lot while outdoors being active (pictures, GPS apps, etc.).
