Trying to find an entry-level cam for the sole purpose of just monitoring a room in the house online while I'm at work. I know you get what you pay for when it comes to stuff like this but thought maybe someone knew of the "best bang for your buck" webcam for under $40. Just needs to be USB, work well in low light and be able to stream video online/within Yahoo Messenger.
Was checking out the Logitech QuickCam Chat ($19.98 at the Egg), Creative 73VF004000000 Instant ($25), Chicony DC2120 TwinkleCam Pro ($17.99), Creative 73VF005000000 WebCam Live ($33 AR) and D-Link DSB-C310 ($31).
I think my biggest concern after reading reviews is gonna be lighting. I know with most cheap webcams you're gonna need a lot of light but is anyone aware of a cam (or one of the above) that works well in low-light? A built-in mic is not necessary. Thanks for any suggestions. Never had a webcam so I'm not really educated on them.
