I'm looking for something that pretty much can be stuck on the usb port of any W2K machine and not need drivers and so forth at about 64 MB
Anybody got a good find ?? price is not so much a concern as is the ability to stick it on ANY machine.

most of them will work with any win2k machines w/o drivers.

Tiger direct has a Soyo Pendrive 64 mb for 9.99 AR.

what makes one better than another?? the Soyo one at TigerDirects is $9.99 After Rebate and 11.50 for second day UPS.

are either of the ones you recommended that much better or as cheap as the soyo??

i'm curious because i want to get one too.

Hmmm I'll dig up some reviews but as I said the Cruizer uses SD (like digital camera media) and is therefore upgradable. And DiskOnKey from what I've read has the ability to be completely encrypted (which is kewl IMHO ... considering the loss/left factor of these devices).

ok.

so if i'm not interested in upgradeability or encryption, the soyo is ok??

i ordered the 256 mb Soyo for $86 shipped and that comes w/ a $25.00 mail in rebate for a total of $61 shipped.

kinda hard to pass up, no?

Check here:
? EnvyNews USB Drive Reviews

Specific reviews:
? SD Cruzer 64MB I just noticed this review but alternately perhaps you could consider PenDrive Plus SD 64MB
? DiskOnKey 128MB &/or DiskOnKey 512MB 9The first of these two is the one I remember reading but the 512MB one is slightly newer)
? 1Gb Firewire Keychain (I'm including this one just because I always thought the device was really cool)

so if i'm not interested in upgradeability or encryption, the soyo is ok??
I'm just going based on what I've read, if you did your homework before ordering then it'll be all good. IMHO for the price you've listed it's a pretty good deal but I haven't read anything about it's performance or features.

I figured out why the SOYO was soo cheap. 🙁 it's USB 1.1.

i guess the 64 mb for about $20.00 shipped is ok, but anything larger would take too long to use.

I bought the Lexar Media Jumpdrive. It is great, the main reason I bought it was it is much smaller than the other "pen drives", its about the size of a quarter. Also it only cost me 30 bucks after rebate at officemax!I think they have the 128 version for 40 dollars now
