My stomach has trouble handling all the artifical sweeteners in whey protein. Things like sucralose or sugar alcohol are a no-go. Any recommendations for unsweetened whey protein?

I haven't looked at wheys in quite a while (we carry a single brand at our gym and I just default to it) but I seem to recall Optimum had a "natural" one that was unsweetened (or at least only used stevia leaf or something).

I think you'll find that there is no good unsweetened whey, because frankly it will taste like garbage lol.

I'm a HUGE fan of Ghost Lifestyle protein, they taste almost too good to be true, here - https://www.ghostlifestyle.com/products/whey?variant=16173019627594 (label here - https://cdn.shopify.com/s/files/1/2060/6331/products/SFPWhey.png?v=1614786094)
They also have vegan options, if you wanted to try an animal based protein I personally like a few of Redcon1's MRE Lite flavors - https://redcon1.com/products/mre-lite-meal-replacement
Specifically the caramel macchiato and oatmeal chocolate chip.

All of those use sucralose which he’s specifically trying to avoid.

I mean it's literally the last or close to last listed ingredient on most of them. Good luck finding any with 0.00% of it that a person could actually consume willingly.

Yeah that was my point as well. Very challenging to find any that do not use sucralose because they simply don't sell. The closest thing you'll find are ones that purely use stevia leaf or still use cane sugar.

How about Myprotein unflavored? It's widely considered one of the best values in whey protein:

I used Myprotein for a while, good flavor but was very chalky and mixed poorly when compared to others I've used. Their unflavored does appear to fit the OPs goals though. Won't be very pleasant!

I've tried quite a variety of protein powders in my life, and Myprotein whey protein mixes very well IMHO. It's not quite as good as Optimum Nutrition Gold, but it's much better than average.

Once long ago I think I saw a Gold Standard 100 Percent Whey in unflavored. I guess it did not sell because I havent seen it since.

I haven't bought Myprotein in ages, and a lot of the comments state prices have been jacked up considerably since the pandemic started. Instead, I stocked up on a bunch of Syntha-6 from Amazon last year.
