I'm wondering what kind of towel I should get to whipe my face and body of sweat? Should I get those puffy cottn towels or those smooth towels?

I know about those special quickdry towels, but I'm not interested in them because they cost over $20, and I'd wash my towel after every workout anyways.

a dry one :) rimshot!!!

I bought a big pack of terry cloth towels (small ones) from Costco (or BJs). They are white with a couple of blue lines on them. Anyway, I bring one with me to the gym and then throw it in the wash. There are enough in the pack to cycle to always have a clean one for the gym trip.

So my vote goes to a small, terry cloth towel.

White hand towels that are not abrasive to your skin. That is about the only guideline I use.

People get hung up on the most trivial things. Just use a towel, any towel, as long as it soaks up sweat you're good.

I got the towels they have in Target. I think they are 8 sweat towels for $10, or 4 bath towels for same price. The cheap ones that you usually see at the gym. They are nice because they are also light, easy to care for and cheap.
