Best Twitter app for Android?

What's the best Twitter app for Android, free or paid?

I only use Twitter for deals like this, so looking for something minimalist, easy to use and doesn't hog up bandwidth.

Suggestions?

Just use the official Twitter app. I am also a VERY light user (read only, no sending) and the official app works fine. You can always Greenify it if you are worried, but I haven't noticed it being heavy at all on system resources.

Same. Stock app has worked just fine for me and I'm also a light user (Twitter is basically my sports & tech fast news source).

I'm like you, I usually only read tweets, maybe sent 3-4 and retweeted a handful. Just use the official Twitter app. Because of the way Twitter handles advertising, developers only get a limited number of tokens for their apps so at some point they run out and stop working.

The official app lets you set up push notifications, like for slickdeals, and you can set it to only update your whole feed every 4 hours which is what I do. Twitter never shows up under high battery usage on my Nexus 5.

For a light user, the free official app should suffice.

I don't recommend talon, the devs are jerk-offs. Fenix would be the go-to for a paid twitter client, but that would be a waste of money for a light user.

I happen to use Carbon, but I think they ran out tokens a few months ago.

I use Flipboard. It handles both my Instagram and Twitter feeds. No need to use 2 separate apps this way. Plus for Instagram it gets rid of the stupid comments section.
