Best TV Brand for Partial PC use

I think I've narrowed my search down to the Sony 32XBR9, however this model is not cheap, and I wonder if maybe I'm overlooking another comparable, if not better option?
Thanks everyone!

Basically any FullHD monitor should do the trick, but it is best to go see it live before you buy.

I have some 46 inch bravia, don't know the exact model, but it's something older and low-end for sure. There is one problem that I see but it is very hard to explain (and for that reason hard to google for, so I am still not sure if it is a defect with just my specific unit or a common "feature" for the model in general). In exact pixel mode, every other pixel column (for examle, the even numbered pixels on each row) would display the wrong color if the pixel on the left of it isn't also the same color. It is fairly obvious with single-pixel vertical lines or similar patterns, though not at all obvious in most normal use scenarios. I play WOW and EVE on it a lot, and don't notice it, but in monitor tests or when drawing thin lines in ms paint or even when selecting icons on the desktop (the selection rectangle is 1 pixel thick) i notice it and it annoys me to know it has such a flaw.

So with all this overture I just wanted to warn you, you'd better go to a store and see the monitor in action, plugged in to a PC in exact pixel mode and see that everything is ok, and even have them run some monitor test apps for you. This is the best way to not be sorry later. If they are too stupid to set up the monitor for you to test (yes there are a lot of stores like that, but not all), then they don't deserve your business.

You raise a good point. I remember working at an electronics retail store, and watching customers come in with their laptops, and hook them up to various TVs.

Thanks!
