If it runs for 7 days who really cares? Make sure you get all the key words in the title so people will find your item on a search.

The day really depends on how many days your auction lasts.
The time is different. You don't want people to be sleeping or having lunch/dinner/breakfast when your auction is ending. So, to avoid lunch, the best time is probably 1-2pm (PST), you'll get most of the people on the West Coast and Central, and some of the people in the East Coast. At night, you might want to try 7-8pm PST but so that you get people in the West and East Coast and everybody in between.
Hope this helps.

Actually, there was some kind of a survey and the busiest day on Ebay is Sunday night (7-11 pm PST) and second was Monday night. So I usually list items to end on Sunday night.

ah, yakko's great wisdom :)

he's pretty much right tho-- just list it when you're ready to sell. with proxy bidding and with the amount of people on ebay these days... it really doesn't matter when you list... someone will find your item for sale.

I don't know the traffic there at those times, but I know I battled it out with another broadband user in the last 3 minutes of an auction around 3:00pm (CST) one day.

Just make sure the items end on Sunday around 10pm.
Noone is working on Sunday.
The East coast people have not gone to bed yet and the West coast have just gotten home from whatever.
