Best Time Of Year To Buy New System

Hi -

Just a general question here. When is the best time to buy a new system? Someone told me after Comdex because that is usually when computer companies such as DELL and HP will cut their prices on their systems.

i'm wondering if right before september is a good answer -- since many parents look for machines for their soon-to-be college freshmen. that's when my parents waited to get me a computer back in the day, but i don't know if i got the best deal.

anyway, almost any time of the year there will be a hot deal, so you just need to keep your eyes open.

I would say a good time to buy is the "back to school" time, too.
