Best thing to do with old ink cartridges?

Whats the best thing to do with them? Should i just throw them in the garbage or are there other options that can help the community, etc.

Thanks..

I have like 6 emtpy epson 880 cartridges.

Take them to Office Depot (one per day might be all that is allowed) and they will give you a ream of paper for an empty cartridge. Staples did this also, but I don't know if they still do.

Walmart has postage paid plastic mailers that you can just mail them in to some company who must refill them.

why don't you buy the re-fill kits and re-use them. They're about $10 bucks at Fry's for about 3 refills.

Some stores, like Staples I belive, have drop off boxes for all used ink carts.. just go around to the different office stores by you and find out which ones have the boxes you can dump them into.

Because I print lots of photos, and the print quality from refilled ink cartridges sucks for what I do.

FWIW, I usually just throw them away, but will recycle them in those little drop-off containers at office supply stores if I can remember to do so.
