Best tablet if your in the Google ecosystem?

So, I'm pretty entrenched in the Google ecosystem now. The new Pixel 10 pro is great and I'm using Gemini all the time now. I want a cheap(er) tablet for reading and documents that I can take with me easily. The Pixel tablet seems to be expensive for what it is but they claim is has Gemini built in. I would think if you can get Google drive as an app on other tablets, you would have Gemini as well. any recommendations?

My Android 12 Nokia phone allowed me to install Gemini, so you're probably good to go on pretty much any Android device.

If you want tablet recommendations then you probably ought to mention a budget.

400 or under is OK. I have an old windows tablet that I totally forgot about. It's a HP 601 pro tab. I remember not liking it because everything seemed laggy on it. I'll charge it up and see if it's usable. Some recommend getting a Fire tablet and side loading the APK. Not sure that is a good solution but they are cheap.

The Pixel is a nice tablet but if you want more power the Lenovo Idea Tab is a serious contender

Be aware the cheaper versions of the Fire tablets are ad-supported.

Thanks, that's exactly the one I was looking at on Amazon last night. Seems like the best bang for the buck.

So, here's the dilemma. I have 200.00 google store credit from when I bought the P10. The Pixel tablet is 400.00, but 200 after the credit. So, is the Pixel tab a better deal at 200 than something like the A9+... ? It gets good reviews but not considered a stellar tablet for the money. Also it seems they are going to discontinue Pixel tablets so I wonder about updates, etc.

The pixel tab does not have an SD card slot, if that means anything to you. I have always used SD cards and would never get a tablet that didnt support it. I have tons of DVDs and BRs ripped to watch on my tablets. Its pretty much why I abhor the ipads.

I am looking at them. I think the standard 11 in ipad is about 300.00.
Yep, $280 + tax for Prime Big Deals.

The good news is that 128GB is now base storage, so if you don't have a lot of games/apps, you don't have to pay an additional Tim Apple tax for NAND flash.
The previous gen started at 64GB, and IIRC the OS takes away about 20 of that.

A tablet that have Android 15 or higher. If Lenovo Idea Tab Pro supports it will be the best option around them.

It has good SoC, decent screen and have pen support.

I agree. The Pixel Tablet I got for free a while back ago, and I gave it to my mom, but I thought it was gonna be some bulky device. HECK NO. Its so suprisingly sexy and IMHO is the best tablet PERIOD!

Just to update, I did just get a Pixel tablet with Googles latest sale- 150.00 off and 200.00 store credit from when I bought the phone. so 50.00. Sweet deal and the tablet is pretty nice. Just plugged my phone into it and it transferred all my apps and setting over. About as easy as I could ask for.

$50 out of pocket nice, you could have done (a lot) worse. I'm hoping Google will release an updated and affordable iPad Mini competitor. While I'm dreaming I'd like a BF/CM discount and with increased TIV (trade in value) for an existing Pixel phone. Santa I'm done for now.
