hey all. whats a good cpu cooler for a T-bird 1.2 ghz 266fsb CPU? I plan to overclock this.. but with my current fan/heatsink I don't think is very possible as I get over 56 degree's celcius, even higher on load.. I'm wondering what is a good fan/heatsink that would cool this thing down and maybe let me overclock?

or what about water cooling?

Let me know!

Thanks a lot! :)

darkomen, you have lots of choices, and if you look at some of the past threads they discuss this a lot. that's a broad subject because there are many hsf's to choose from, and there are things like how much you want to spend, how loud do you want it to be, etc.

If you're looking for noise reduction and better cooling, water cooling is unbeatable. It rocks sooo much. i just installed my watercooling setup on my rig this weekend. its sooo much quieter than my volcano II and it runs at 35C idle, 45C load. (i need a new fan on my radiator and then it will be even cooler on load). check out www.dangerden.com if u have the money, that is the best stuff by far. any ?'s about water cooling pm me. i know a fair amount about the subject. By the way, my t-bird 1.2 266 axia runs flawlessly at 1496.

Zalman CNPS-5000

ThermalRight SK-6

Those are the top two. If you get a 760 motherboard, I'd reccomend getting the zalman. If not, get the thermalright.
