Best SUV out there?

Whats the best SUV on the market? Lets say price is no object.

i like the range rover, but i know its one of those overrated ones.
jeep cherokees are damn fun cars, but not the best for family/ safety.

H1 hands down, but for city driving i'd say an escalade ESV or a denali, the range rover was rated as one of the most unreliable passenger vehicles of 2003

Whichever one was latest to be hauled to the wrecking yard. That's the best one.

I'd say a Land Rover actually. Simply because they actually have some functionality. They aren't just lifted station wagons like most of the garbage out there.

it's reliable for an american car, its roomier inside, and it does just look nicer (and the ESV can fit more ppl)

edit: does anyone happen to have an old International SUV? those are nice as well for rock crawling and such, but are they reliable?

Personally, I think the Infiniti FX45 and the Volvo XC90 the Best The Infiniti is one of the fastest and best looking, the Volvo is the safest.

Cherokees have not been made in a few years. Grand Cherokees, however are still in production.

It was an aging platform with dwindling sales. Very little of the internals were changed from 1984 until 2001. Really, the biggest was the 4.0L in 87(or was it 88?) and the reskinning in 97.

Sport SUV I think FX45 is the best... it harrasses the Porsche Ceyanne lower model, and performs like the $80,000 model at half the cost.

Best Luxury I vote for VW Toureg. I also believe it got award for best luxury SUV.

For both Luxury and Sport I'd vote for the BMW X5 4.4i.
