Best Stock Mini-Towerw/PS to Handle New Top of Line System?

I'm planning on building a system soon, but I've decided on a mini-tower. I'll list a few specs but I dont plan on modding the case or putting in power hogs like lights and many fans. Possibly 1 fan blowing in, 1 out, and a CPU fan (vid fan is stock). The SLK2600AMB is pretty much what i'm looking for but i'm unsure of whether the P/S will be able to handle these specs.

It will probably be a:

i865/i875 - integrated LAN - with P4 800MHZ (2.8-3.0) - Overclocking might be minimal, nothing extreme
768-1024 DDR 400
Audigy 2?
CDRW
DVD
ATI 9700/9800
60-80HD, maybe SATA
3 Case FANS MAX

That's about it. You think 300W of Antec quality will be able to handle this? If not is there a stock case like the SLK2600 that comes with a 350W? Thanks again..

The stock 300w power supply should work fine. I have a very similar setup with a 325w PS and there is no issues. Those 450w and bigger are for guys trying to make up for some small personal issues.

I would vote for a little more PSU than the stock Antec SL-300S. Note the "S" on the end there... this is not the retail Antec SL-300, it's the OEM SL-300S. One fan (looks like sleeve-bearing), not two ball-bearing fans. Considering the power-hungry nature of the video card, the power-hungry nature of the CPU, and the power consumption of four memory modules, plus the likelihood of future expansion with more drives, I would be getting myself an Antec Plus1080AMG if I could stand having a door over the drives. If you don't like that one, then maybe the Plus660AMG (no door, but less PSU).

My 2c worth :D

Thanks for your reply, but the 1080 you suggested is huge... it appears to be a file server. Anything else that is still a mini-tower that comes stock with a quality 350W PSU (other brands welcome, not only antec) for under $80? Thanks again.

Well, there's the Sonata, although the price might put you off ($110 at Newegg). Its claim to fame is that it's built to run super-quietly, and it has the TruePower 380, so it's got plenty in the power department. I think the drilled "Antec" in the side panels is a little tacky in its own right, but whatever... pics here

Is Chieftec the company that makes Antec cases? Do they have anything similar to the miniTower LANBOY?

The slk 2600 should do the job just fine. Any of the J series inwins will also serve well- J523 or J508, for example. Their powerman psu's are actually Fortron/Source(Sparkle).

Newegg had a slew of Chenming 301's, sans psu's that would have come in at or near your pricepoint with 350w Heroichi or Fortron psu, but they're oos. same box as the 2600, different bezel.

If you're willing to go a little higher, the antec sx635II is an excellent box, as has been mentioned....
