Best stick of 3200 for overclocking?

Alright here is my deal...I bought an albatron 856pe pro and 2 sticks of 512 (corsair value). I wasn't really planning on keeping the ram, but after attempting to overclock I am definitely getting rid of it. What I found out when I got home was that the two sticks they gave me consisted of different modules...and of course they support different timings.

My question is what has proven to be the best ram as far as stability during overclocking? I am looking to spend no more than 100 a stick so that kind of reduces some of my options. I found this:

Geil PC3200

Anybody used Geil ram? I have no experience with them, but the rated timings look good and the price is certainly right. What other options should I consider? Thank you guys for any help.

Geil isn't all that good, and most of us don't like it. Corsair XMS, OCZ Gold, and Kingston HyperX are by far the most popular, and all will overclock well beyond 200mhz (400 DDR).

Thanks for the advice. What exactly is wrong with the Geil?

The Kingston and Corsair (from what i've seen atleast) seem a little too expensive for me. I know it's only 20-30 dollars difference, but money is really tight for me. So what's the deal with OCZ? Fast, stable, overclockable? Is it relatively cheap?

Ok I have one more question...which is probably really really stupid so be nice . I haven't ever had a ddr rig (1066 rambus just crapped out on me)...and I was a little confused on the dual channel thing.

So basically...is there a difference between pc3200 dual-channel ddr and regular pc3200 ddr? I've heard differing things and just wanted to get it straight before I spent my hard earned cash. Thanks again guys.

If youf systems supports a dual memory artecteture for example Nvida nforce2 or Intel 865PE then you can get a bit more performance if you use at least 2 sticks of memory. Thats why you will see some memory manufactures selling memory in pairs.

i know how dual-channel works...what i meant was...is every pc3200 ddr stick the same (not talking about timings, etc.) or is there an actual difference between a dual channel 3200 stick and a regular 3200 stick.

the only difference is that the manufacturer pairs two sticks of ddr pc3200 to see if they'll work in dual channel configuration....

other than that, they are identical...
