which one do you think was the best Star Trek movie? i'm watching ST5: the Final Frontier right now...not as good as ST4: the Voyage Home. so for me it's a toss up between ST4: the Voyage Home or ST: First Contact...i like the phaser fights.
 
I agree with wombatwoman, ST2: The Wrath of Khan was the best ST movie. I also liked ST4....... why funny.

i'm waiting for the next TNG movie to come out...better be cool. ST2 was good as well. i can't stand generations though. it made me go to sleep. but i watched it 6 times though so i shouldn't have missed anything.

It was way funny when Spock was using colorful metaphors and Kirk was ordering his team to spread out and not look like a bunch of tourists! 🙂
 
Tis no contest at all. Khan!! Rulez. Plus it's the only one I care to see again.
 
Even though i'm not that huge of a trekkie, I really enjoyed ST2. I also liked First Contact a lot as well. Can't wait for the next TNG movie. 🙂
 
I liked the "Wrath of Kahn", close second was "IV" for it's humor.

Interestingly, my mom (in her 70s) somehow watched a few of the StarTrek movie series with me and really liked "Insurrection" - she didn't need anything explained (although she hasn't watched any StarTrek since the original series on tv).

All the other were very nicely done, and I enjoy them every time I see them, though I like these three the most.

The latest one however; Insurection had a very weak plot, and was kind of cheesy, but not as cheesy as the whales movie.

What I look forward to is the first DS9 movie, I liked the DS9 series the best, and I can't wait to see it again on the big screen. The best part is the old Dax will return to get rid of that newer actress (who can't act worth garbage).

Anyhow...
 
Trinitron, I went to a sci-fi convention last Saturday. Lolita Fatjo (who has worked in the production of TNG, DS-9, and Voyager) says the plans for a DS-9 movie fell through, and she has little hope that it will ever happen. The next movie will feature the TNG cast, as confirmed by Marina Sirtis, who was also at the convention.
 
Maybe if we light lots of candles to Saint Gene of Roddenberry, and pray to the Great Bird of the Galaxy, there will be hope for a DS-9 movie. 😉
 
ST2, First Contact,Generations and I like Insurrection..

Here's a hint for the next TNG movie so it doesn't bomb, DON'T HIRE ARNOLD and DANNY DEVITO AS BAD GUYS! Don't get me wrong, they are good actors, but they KILLED the Batman franchise..
