Please suggest me best stable wireless router. WHich can do QOS too.
I perfer LinkSys because they have Open Source. SO I can load other firmware.
Thanks

How much do you want to spend?

You can get a linksys WRT54GS for probably less than $70 retail and much less from outer outlets and have fun with that.

I currently have one and am using dd-wrt firmware. It is really really good. I am using a linksys RTP VoIP router as my gateway and the WRT54GS solely as an AP right now.
Hopefully I will have my soekris box up again soon but will still use the WRT54GS as my AP.

Overall, the QoS is quite good. As you can see, the QoS optiosn are quite robust for such an old device, and are hard to match with anything in the price range.
In addition, the radio amplification settigns are adjustable to a staggering 251mW:shocked: if you were so inclined. I've heard sotries about bad thigns happening at anything over 81mW

That's good
I saw some different versions like some people said stay away from V5 ????
I am actually dropping off D-link DI-724P+

If you are looking for stability, Buffalo is the way to go.

If you are looking for Entry level QOS control.

The D-Link Game/Giga Router can do it, but it is expensive.

Otherwise, the Linksys WRT54 version 2-4 with 3rd party firmware.

Version 5 firmware is Not Open Source Based, and thus the ?Flashing? party is over.
