If you can still find the original HTC Touch at >$150, then get it. It was a pretty good phone. If you do get it, install the last ROM for it by DereknJenny at PPCGeeks.
 
Before you make a final decision on a phone that has a physical keyboard, go to a Sprint store to try them out. I found the keyboard on the Treo Pro. to be too small (keys too close together) and I have smaller hands.
 
The Treo Pro keyboard is almost perfect for me and I have average sized hands. I agree, go hold the device first though.
