Best sources for lights and switches and rheostats?

I know a lot of places that sell lights and stuff, but it's the power switches and rheostats I'm having trouble finding. I only know of one place (case etc) and they are out of stock of rheostats.

Also, is there anything else I need to hook a fan up to a rheostat? I see a lot of baybuses or whatever with resistors or something with them, do I need one too?

you wouldnt need both a baybus and a rheostat. A baybus can run at 12v, 7v, or off using a switch. A rheostat varies. Normally rheostats can handle higher power fans. You can get either of them at pcmods.com, frozen, directron, etc. A baybus is much cheaper also.

what's the difference between a rheostat and a potentiometer? What ohm ratings should I be looking for for a potentiometer or rheostat?

I believe a potentiomer and a rheostat are the same thing. i've used and heard of them being used interchangably, and both essentially have a variable resistor.

I'd create a separate post for my last question but I am too lazy and it would be a waste of a whole new thread for just one simple question like this.... bump
