Our Company is looking for a Office Manager with accounting experience, preferrably with Yardi experiance. Any suggestions? Most of the sites I have been to don't offer anything for people looking to Hire, only those looking for work.

Shux, not exactly what you mean by looking for hire instead of work - do you mean you are looking for a permanent position as opposed to a temp?

Anyway, just a shot a shot in the dark and I found http://www.lacareers.com/

Since you are in such a huge metopolitan area, I'm sure that there a whole slew of websites just like that. Sites like monster.com, dice.com, jobmosaic.com, jobs.com, and careers.com should provide you with the ability to do resume searches.

The people who put their resumes on sites like this usually have the ability to tell the site if they are looking for part time/full time/temp/temp-to-hire positions. As an employer doing the searches you should be able to filter out the part-time, and temp positions.

I'd check with the chamber of commerce in your area to see what employment resources they have available. I've been recruited for my last three jobs by having resumes out on the websites run by the chamber of commerce of the cities.

Thanks vi, but monster wants to charge for the ability to post a position....I suspect that others do as well. Am I wrong about that? I havent been in a position to hire in this manner, and for a position like this either. I have done lots of hiring and firing but on a different level.

A good place for employees is headhunter.com. I've been contacted by numerous companies but I think it costs them money to look through the resumes.

Shux, I have yet to find any of these services that allow employers to browse the resume database for free. I do know that monster wasn't cheap.

But, the local one here in CR is called http://www.corridorcareers.com/. There's several hundred jobs listen in there, and were're an area of only 150,000 people. I think we paid about $20 for a three week run in the job database, and about $90 for 3 months worth of searching the resume database.

All in all, it's dirt cheap when you figure out how much it costs to list a job in the newspaper or to drop it off at a headhunter.

If your company doesn't want to drop the money to get the add out, then they really don't want to fill the position.
