Snatch, Get Shorty, Bio-Dome (rotten movie), Deep Cover, Four Rooms (or any movie with 'Vertigogo' used properly), Blade Runner, Heat, Se7en, Spawn: The Movie (again, lame movie), Purple Rain.

Also dramtic stuff like Shawshank Redemption, The Green Mile, Road To Perdition and American Beauty. They really set the tone well.

EDIT: I cant believe I forgot Cool World and Office Space!

if you like the Garden State soundtrack, you might like "The OC" soundtracks. good music too. actually zach braff didn't put one of the songs from his original mix tape on the Garden State soundtrack because it was on The OC soundtrack.
