Best sound isolating headsets for the money

Hi. I need advice about headsets for the gaming. I'll use it in my room where i'm disturbed from environmental sounds(like annoying ambulance sirens, crying sound of my neighbor's goddamn baby etc etc.) I need to block out this background noise as far as possible. there's two option for me: Sound isolating and sound cancelling headsets. I have doubts about sound cancelling(it looks like not to work perfect in the real life as claimed on the paper) and i think good sound isolating is better. Am i wrong?

I am looking for a good sound isolating(or maybe sound cancelling) headset which is better if it's cheap. The sound quality is second thought for me. Any suggestions?

Edit:Thanks for the advices.

Two options for you. First Bose QC25. They aren't the best audiophile headphones on the market, but they still sound good and the active noise cancelling is the best in the market. Second lower cost alternative is the Kingston Hyper-X cloud headset. These don't have active nose cancellation, but they are closed back cans with real leather pads which would offer a good amount of isolation. As a bonus the cloud is based on the Takstar Pro80 headphones which are an excellent pair of headphones on their own.
