Best solution for slippery shower wet tile floor?

So my wife just had the entire shower tile changed and along with it came a new problem we did not have with the old tile: the new tile is slippery as hell once wet.

What's the current best solution for slippery shower wet tile floor?

Last time I dealt with this it was sticking them little sand-paper-like fishes on the slippery floor, is still the best solution or is there something else I can try?

I would suggest going to HD or Lowes and asking one of the folks there for alternatives for the stickers. Perhaps there is just a film on the tile that will wear off with time? Maybe try washing it with a tile cleaner if you haven't already?

I hate to tell you, but the wrong tile was used for the floor. I'm not sure there's a fix short of tearing it out and replacing it.

this is what I am afraid of, I'll try and see if there's some sort of shower mat like destrekor suggests

Yeah, I'm pretty sure glossy finish tiles shouldn't have been used, and it sounds like they are. Best solution, imo? Call up the installer and make them fix it. A real professional would not have installed improper materials. Otherwise, the stick on things.

That'll probably make it worse when you try to reach for the flip flops while balanced on one foot.

I was going to say sand the tiles, but I know nothing of tiles and that could just screw it up.

Maybe, apparently a lot of people wear them in the shower...

Sandpaper. Wet sanding actually and it does work. Best used with a block of wood and use the finest grain paper you can find. It doesn't take long at all to do.
