Best software to make perfect copies of audio CD's?

What's the best utility (preferrably free) that will make an exact duplicate of an audio CD with perfect quality? I used to use Nero but I've had issues in the past with Nero saying the CD is copyrighted and ejecting the disc.

Is there software written specifically to do what I want, or is my best option a cloning/duplication software like CloneCD or Blindread/Blindwrite?

EAC (Exact Audio Copy) is exactly what your looking for. If you use Secure mode, it doublechecks each sector to make sure the extraction is accurate.

Yes, I already use EAC with LAME for making MP3's and like it a lot. I suppose I could use it to rip .wav files and put those on a CD, but I was really hoping there would be a program that would simply make a perfect copy of an audio CD.

I thought a digital copy was a digital copy.....that any garden variety copy mechanism would easily copy tracks bit for bit with no loss.

CloneCD has always worked great for me. Also, Alcohol 120% is another good program worth checking out.

I always had pretty good luck with CloneCD also...it's what I used to back up my PlayStation games back in the day. But I thought CloneCD's development had slowed down and Blindwrite Suite was the new king of the hill? Or is that just for PC game discs and the like?
