Best Software For HDD Partition....

Recently I have purchased a new 250GB SATA HDD.
I need a easy to use good software for partition.
Please suggest me the best software(both free & paid) for HDD partition.
Thank you.....

Are you using Windows? If so, there is a built-in tool for formatting and partitioning hard drives. It's 'Computer Management' under Admin Tools.

I recently bought Paragon HD Manager 2009, and it will perform about every partition operation you wish - create, merge, shrink, expand, image, etc.

I've used it to create a partition, to re-size four partitions, image my system partition and restore the image partition. All operations were fast and flwless.

About the only suite function I wouldn't recommend was defragging. It will defrag just fine, but it's slow as molasses.

Hope this helps!

I use this one every time. Pretty simple and easy to use. Has all the things one needs for typical partitioning stuff.

if you need to modify live partitions (with data on them) I recommend the GParted LiveCD

If it is new and has no data, just use the Computer Management tools.

Yea,
But I want to make a bootable disk so that I can make hdd patition even on a fresh new machine.
Like we do 'fdisk' in dos mode.
How good is Gparted ?

I use Acronis Disk Director. It seems similar to Partition Magic. These two, u can use it to go back and manipulate live partitions also. Simple to use.

The only difference I see from GParted is its free.

Gparted or built in Windows utility for free

Acronis Disc director if you would like to pay

Hi,

For my own experience with partition software, EPM from Easeus and Partition Magic are good and simple to use. However it depends on what OS your drive is runing on or what the real needs of you. You can have a try.
