Best Software DVD player?

I need one that has the best image quality for my system (athalon xp 1700 + gainward gf3ti550 golden sample) while also providing an out to my audigy for DD 5.1 sound. Alos, software DTS support would be nice. Must run in windows. Thanks.

I would think WinDVD or PowerDVD would both work. Whichever one you can find cheaper. I believe both (newest version)
support those options.

I couldn't get ANY version of WinDVD to work with WinXP, if that's your OS.

PowerDVD 4.0 works great, with any version of Windows.

PowerDVD 3.0 works with any Windows, as well.

I've been using WinDVD with XP, there isn't a thing wrong with it.

Windvd 3.0 works for me in XP but the 5.1 to 4.1 submix is screwed up. Power DVD 4.0 with DTS got it right and thats what I prefer now.
