Best software DVD player for P2-300 laptop?

My dad has just got this p2-300mhz laptop with a dvd drive, and he wants it to play DVDs on when he goes on holiday. It did have Windows 98 on, but when he installed the digital camera software it screwed with DVDPlay which was installed.

Specs (Gateway Solo 9100):
P2 300MHz
128mb ram
6gb hdd
unknown speed DVD rom drive
4mb Trident vivo video card
