This just got linked in another thread and it got me thinking. What are the best SNL skits ever?

I'll throw out a few suggestions:

Blue Oyster Cult - Behind The Music
Schmidt's Gay Beer Ad
Jesse Jackson Reads "Green Eggs And Ham"
James Brown Celebrity Hot Tub
Samurai Delicatessan
Refridgerator Repair Man
Bass-O-Matic Ad
Chris Farley & Patrick Swayze audition for Chippendale's

For me, the CLEAR winner is the Reverend Jesse Jackson reading "Green Eggs & Ham". If you have not seen it, it is the REAL Jesse Jackson doing nothing other than reading the book as a tribute to Theodore Geissel (AKA Dr. Seuss) the week that he died. He reads the story as a Souther Baptist Minister and it is quite simply a riot.

edit: crappy version of Green eggs bit...

Cookie Dough Sport. Cookie dough right when you need it most. So get on your feet, get in the game, and get the dough. Cookie Dough Sport.

Cookie Dough Sport. Be the dough.

Seinfeld in OZ

Jerry Seinfeld: What is with you two?

Prisoner #2: Ah, you know. First, I was his b!tch.. then he burned a swastika into my a$$.. and then I took a crap in his face. And that started a whole thing!

Jerry Seinfeld: Tell me. I once dated a girl who I think was always wearing the same dress!

Prisoner #2: [ gives Jerry a strange look ] Anyway.. he nearly broke every bone in my body. I thought we were gonna make up, and he nailed me to the gym floor!

Jerry Seinfeld: Did he try to..?

Prisoner #2: No. Nothing happened.

Jerry Seinfeld: You missed out on the make-up sodomy?

Prisoner #2: I missed out on the sodomy!

Jerry Seinfeld: The make-up sodomy's the best part of being nailed to the gym floor!

Prisoner #2: Missed out, baby!

Bass-o-matic '76.

(From http://snltranscripts.jt.org/75/75qbassamatic.phtml

[ open on manic Spokesman standing before his product, which rests on a table in fronr of him ]

Spokesman: How many times has this happened to you? You have a bass, and you're trying to find an exciting new way to prepare it for the dinner table. You could scale the bass, remove the bass' tail, head and bones, and serve the fish as you would any other fish dinner. But why bother, now that you can use Rovco's amazing new kitchen tool, the Super Bass-o-Matic '76. Yes, fish-eaters, the days of troublesome scaling, cutting and gutting are over, because Super Bass-o-Matic '76 is the tool that lets you use the bass with no fish waste, and without scaling, cutting or gutting.

Here's how it works: Catch a bass, remove the hook, and drop the bass - that's the whole bass - into the Super Bass-o-Matic '76. [ drops the bass into the blender ] Now, adjust the control dial so that the bass is blended just the way you like it. [ turns blender on and grinds it to a pulp ] Yes, it's that simple!

[ cut to Bass-Drinker on another part of the set ]

Bass-Drinker: [ drinks a glassful of bass ] Wow, that's terrific bass!

one of my favorite skits of all time was the episode that had Sean William Scott on it, and he was in an office meeting with people and Will Ferrel comes in and is wearing like tighty whities and a t shirt that is like cut off and says "i love america" or something on it. I dont think i've laughed so hard than i did when i saw that for the first time.

anyone have a link to that (that isn't on youtube? i cant view youtube at work)

I'm sure a lot of people will disagree with me on this one, but I'd list Lazy Sunday. It's one of the best things they've done lately, and it was huge on the Internet.

Marked.

I liked him as the bad doctor with Molly Shannon and Chris Parnell as the Framinghams, and Tim Meadows as Dr. Poop.

EDIT: Oh yeah, almost forgot, "VOICE IMMODULATION!"

I thought it was great. Easily the best of 2000-current SNL.
