Best smart phone for a real estate agent?

My mom is a real estate agent and uses a Blackberry atm, but it's getting old and she wants a new phone. What would be best?

iPhone, WP7, or Android?

I'm assuming some of her priorities include signal, email, and showing images? Who's her carrier (is she willing to switch)?

i've been house hunting the past couple months, and the redfin app on iPhone is pretty damn impressive. the Trulia one is good too.

not sure if they also exist on android platforms, but i'd think they do. i also don't know if those would matter at all to her, but they are real estate related so I figured I'd post about them.

If I was suggesting a smartphone to my mom I'd say iPhone. If I was getting one myself Android, but that does not sound like a good idea for my parents. Then again my parents are terrible with any tech, YMMV (your mom may vary)..

edit: I used the Redfin and Truila apps on my ipod touch while house hunting and agree that they are pretty good. No idea how they are on android though

check both, but i think the app store has more and better RE agent related apps to access MLS and other databases

I think the notion of a work smartphone is dead in the water now. Any smartphone by definition must send e-mail, hook up with MS Exchange, even have apps to have remote IP PBX extensions. It's kind of like saying is there a good PC to do word processing or spreadsheets, well any can, as MS Office or Open Office can run on any platform.

I don't think OS matters in your friend's case either. It's down to personal preference. She could get a high-end Android like a Galaxy SII or mid to low range like a Galaxy Ace. It wouldn't really matter, since they both send e-mail, connect to Exchange, can be a remote extension by default.

IPhone 4 or 5 if she can wait a month or so. The four takes great pictures, has very good battery life for a smartphone and will function very well for her needs.

I would opt for the one that would be expensed and supported by the agency.

I feel like the iPhone would be the best bet only because of the surplus of applications available. There are numerous photography, real estate, and more that a real estate agent could use. Plus, the fact that it's quite easy to use and will likely last a user all day is a huge plus to a real estate agent.

WP7 is good, but I don't think it'd be the best for her. iPhone is definitely the way to go in my eyes.

I'd get an android phone. Mostly for the superior navigation software built in. A real estate agent is going to be using nav constantly.

Downside is android phones are a little less user friendly, and they get apps after the iphone does, but most of the major real estate sites have their apps for android already.
