What would be a good laptop for a small business (which includes the occasional gaming :))?

this is going to be a recommendation. I suggested a dell latitude but my friend seems to have her eyes set on an apple laptop.

There aren't many good gaming releases for Macs if that's an issue. I'd also go with a PC just because of application compatability.

But that's just me.

Apple's not a bad choice if all the office apps you need work on macs. Otherwise ibm t41.

I can't say much for apple but a Emachine 6805/6807 is a great lappy for the money.

Although you COULD get it, I don't really recommend it. The best business laptops are IBMs (IBM T41p, to be exact), but I doubt your wallet is big enough for one :D
Dell Latitudes are OK, but not as great as other brands.

you can get a new T41 - the 23731FU for $1500 + tax from IBM.

Apple Powerbook; I have a 12" and I love it, as long as all the apps you use work on Mac.

I would have to stick with IBM T40/T41 or Apple PowerBook 12". $1700 will buy you either, and both are very portable and have THE BEST keyboards you can get IMHO. Very good for buisness apps. You also could configue an iBook 14" very nicely for that price.

It's going to be hard for me to choose between IBM and Apple when I get my notebook this comming fall. I have a computer with plenty of power, so that won't be what it comes down to... tough choice...

I came from a T41 to an HP zt3000 and I'm happy. Widescreen makes it so much easier to view documents side-by-side. I'm very happy with my purchase.
