I've become a fan of ordering mobo/CPU/RAM from Mwave simply because you can have it pre-assembled and tested.

Otherwise I shop Newegg for major components and Jab-Tech for accessories.

NewEgg, Zipzoomfly, eWiz, Outpost, Clubit (really like them). Maybe a few others in rare cases (product availability).

Newegg is good .. but if you live in certain states, like New Jersey
they will charge sales tax as they have a shipping warehouse in
the state and are required to charge it, if they have a presence in
the state.

I will never order from outpost.com or razerzone (Razor mice & keyboard site) again. Outpost.com does DHL only shipping, and razerzone take 10-15 days to process an order. Absolutely ridiculous.

I like Outpost. I buy a lot of ram and hard drives from them. Have not had a problem with DHL.

Since you guys know so many store mat be some one is a ware of a vendor that sells Motherboard Header plugs with a cable attached to them.

Like the headers that come from the front of the case, and we plug them into the Reset, On/Off, etc. on the motherboard.

I spent hours searching for it and came up with nothing.

TIA

I use:

  • newegg
    clubit
    mwave
    zipzoomfly
    buy
    dealnews
    eWiz
Does anyone have a tool or know how it would be possible to search all of these sites at once for hardware items? Pricewatch used to be good as it included those vendors above but it appears they are no longer there. An all in one interface (or one which you could configure with different sites) would be a good tool to use to find stuff.

Anyone have such a tool or know of a site that would do this?

JackMDS,
http://www.frontx.com sells cable assemblies and parts.

http://www.action-electronics sells shells and contacts for making your own.

other sites have preassembled switches, LEDs, etc. with the wires and header connector all assembled. Someone linked a good site here for those but I didn't bookmark it.

This site has a switch that could be used for many purposes:
http://www.alancomputech.com/8005419.html

And to the OP,
SVC.com often has the best bottom line on small items as they will ship First Class uninsured if asked.

chiefvalue sometimes have a tad lower prices than egg does especially with their coupon that comes and goes, sometimes higher due to egg specific discounts. It is worth taking a minute to look around if you got sometime you want from egg.

I am still very skeptical of tigerdirect although my only experience with onrebates (used it for the hanns g from pcmall) they are supposed to be using now was a positive one.

Thanks jockovonred.

Your link is a start, this one comes with a 3 Headers connector on one side.

http://www.frontx.com/pro/p090v1_030.html

The other side has an Audio plug and thus make it a little expensive if one only needs the header.

But I am glad. it is a good fall back.

Thanks Zepper, you made me upset with myself. I scouted Frontx few times and could not find this page.:(

Any way I think that problem solved, depending on quantity one way or the other Frontx would be good.

Yes, they probably are mini molex .. but they are still made by the same parent company Molex.
Once you id the correct connector shell, then you can order them from a stocking distributor.
I would check DigiKey.com if Frontx does not have the exact connector you want. I did find that
site, but had no way of knowing exactly what you are attempting to connect.
