Hogan's Heroes has always been my favorite show. I also think Leave It To Beaver is right up there. I remember watching All In The Family in prime time...a true classic.

For everyone's info, The Simpsons is NOT a sitcom it is a CARTOON!

Fawlty Towers is a good choice - it had a short, brilliant run. I would have a tough time picking anything but the Simpsons, however (which is a sitcom, and which IMO conveys the most literate satire ever broadcast in the United States).

The Dukes of Hazzard, A-Team, and Knight Rider. These shows contained oscar-worthy acting and their stories seemed extremely believable (almost like documentaries).

The best that could never find its audience: "Sportsnight"
The all time best: "MASH"
