Well, what are they.

I'll throw in Doom. It's a fast paced brainless shooter if you are into that kind of thing. Doom really nailed what they needed to do with the franchise,

For Story: Uncharted 4, The Last of Us Remastered

The only Xbox Games I have played are Gears of War Ultimate and 2,3 and Judgment Backwards compatible.

Gears 2 was my favorite

Alien Isolation
Dark Souls III
Bloodborne

Although admittedly I played the first one on PC, and usually always will, it's one of the best, most-gripping atmospheres and experiences of the last couple of generations.

The Order for ps4 is my favorite campaign story type game this gen. Ryse is also worth a play through imo.

Both of those games got raked over the coals in reviews, but I decided to buy both when the went below $20. I've heard The Order is not nearly as bad as the reviews made out. Although I heard it is Quicktime heavy, and I hate Quicktime events.

I watched bits of a let's play for Ryse and it looks decent at least. Probably should have watched some of a let's play for the Order too, but I only spent $14 on it.

The Witcher 3 is the best game I've played in a long, long time. Gravity Rush Remastered for PS4 also deserves a mention from me. It's a pretty good game. I also liked Infamous Second Son and the stand alone First Light.

Go be a douchebag somewhere else. I suspect you would be happier on the Pokemon Forums.

You're trying too hard, Shorty. Even by your drama queen standards.

Yes, everyone is aware of the rerelease of Skyrim. That doesn't change the fact it's nowhere close to a game of this generation.

Furthermore, the rereleaseis not even out yet, and won't be for two more months, so even by your nonsensical standards, it couldn't be on the list.

The Last of Us + the expansion is at the top of my list. Arguably the best game I've ever played. Uncharted series is definitely fun; Uncharted 4 had a pretty good story.

Since it's backwards compatible via the xbox one, am I allowed to say Spec Ops: The Line? That is a superb story for what looks to be at the outset a by the numbers FPS.

Ok, this is just really depressing. I see a topic with this title on possibly the most popular tech forum on the entire Internet, and all I see are suggestions for remasters, ports, and re-releases. This is exactly the reason I probably won't ever buy a PS4 or XOne. With every new generation, the list of quality games (ones that stand out among the rest) is becoming shorter and shorter with every new generation of console. The PS1, PS2, GameCube, and XBOX all had absolutely amazing IPs, countless games that are highly sought-after even now, and had some of the most iconic games, yet when I've asked people about which PS4 games are good, I see responses like the ones here.

Hell, I didn't even want a PS3 until I saw Dragon's Dogma and Demon's Souls.

So I guess uncharted 4, rise of tomb raider, witcher 3, the order 1886, ryse son of Rome, blood borne, dark souls 3, infamous second son and first light, and doom which were all mentioned in this thread are remasters ports or re-releases?

Oh wait no they aren't.

Rise of Tomb Raider, Witcher 3, Ryse, Dark Souls 3, and Doom are all ports and most are better experienced on the PC. The Order 1886 is so laughably short that the cost doesn't justify the content - though it was a good game. The rest are exclusives, but considering the PS4's lifespan already, that's pretty bad.

I mean Stg-Flame is right - this gen has been terrible as far as content goes, and both MS and Sony are already putting out "pro" versions of their consoles.

This could potentially be the last gen that I take a part of from launch.

It doesn't matter what you think of a game, it's not a port or whatever.

Ryse came out on Xbox one first and was never supposed to go to PC at all originally. The other games aren't ports on console, if anything the games got ported to PC. Look at the UI and interface and you can see console influence all over the place. It's just much easier to move code between systems now because the Xbox has DX12.

Yup, Rise of the Tomb Raider was ported to PC by Nixxes. I doubt Dark Souls III was made for PC and ported to consoles, because it took From Software a year to port Dark Souls over to PC and they did a pretty horrible job, so their bread and butter is obviously consoles.

Gonna agree that Ryse is a decent game, and if you play it at the hardest difficulty it isn't all that mindless at all. It's like what if the souls game had an easy mode that you can hack N slash through, would it be the same type of experience? Not saying Ryse is souls lvl in quality gameplay, but it's at least a 7 in my book.

I bought Uncharted 4 back in May and I haven't opened it yet. I had already played The Last of Us on PS3, but is the PS4 upgrade worth it?

I did like The Order, for as short as it was, but I don't think I'd ever play through it again...

I have Bloodborne too... same situation as U4 though. Just can't get around to it I'm afraid
