Best single card to replace 4850 crossfire?

Hey all;

Friend of mine is looking to replace his 4850 crossfire cards with a single card which can match or surpass their performance. I'm not sure what his budget is, but I was thinking the 6850, or 6870 (he's biased towards AMD). His system is an overclocked C2Q with 4GB DDR2.

What resolution?

5870 1gb for $180 would be good, or a 6950 2gb on sale.

+1 Dead easy decision, since they've hit as low as $215AR.
Also, when unlocking, use the more conservative approach with the unlocked 6950 BIOS (stock 6950 clocks and timings, but with the unlocked additional shaders). Then OC using software.
