Best Silence/performance solution

I am looking for best performance/silance solution. I am currently using AMD X2 4400+, I am just sick how loud stock fan it is, I want to change it now.

I narrowed my choice to these three

Thermaltake BigTyphoon VX
Scythe Ninja Plus rev.B
Scythe Infinity

Silence is really important, but performance too. I woun't do any overclocking, everything will be at stock, I hope to get something almost inaudible.

Wich one would u advise?

Thanks for any help.

I wouldn't advise any of those.

Check out the Zalman CNPS 9500, Thermalright Ultra 90 / 120, or SI-120 / 128.

I have the zalman 9500 at full speed the fan isn't that quiet. I have it slowed down though and it is fine there.

Ninja is good.
Infinity performs well but is crazy heavy.
Big Typhoon I guess is good as well from what I've heard.

But I agree with galvanized, the freezer is the best bang for your buck and is quiet as well.

I looked at specification for Arctic cooler and it doesn't work with S.775. Maybe in future I will upgrade to Core 2 Duo, I would like one wich is working with S.775. I don't think money really is a problem, because those three don't cost that much.

You first said -
I am currently using AMD X2 4400+...

Then you confused the hell outta everybody by saying -

And you finished with -
E don't think money really is a problem, because those three don't cost that much.

Mind clarifying what exactly you want? You're using an AMD A64 system, but you wanna buy an Intel C2D HSF? And when people recommended something that's cheap to hold you over until you switch to C2D, you tell people you don't wanna buy it 'cause it's not expensive enough for you? WHAT?

Arctic Cooling has 2 versions of the Freezer Pro. Freezer 64 Pro for AMD 754/939/940/AM2 systems and Freezer 7 Pro S775. If you think they're too cheap, go buy a Zalman 9700, it should fit within your budget with a price tag of $80. It's compatible across AMD and Intel platforms.

I have the 9500 attached to my mobo using Q-FAN control from asus. Most of the time its 100% silent, but when I am gaming it will crank up and I can definitely hear it, not that it matters over gunshots and whatnot.

to Baked

If u didn't understand I want something that works for both platforms, in case I change to other. And about price, why I need to buy the cheapest one, if at the end I will still need to buy more expensive one if I switch to Intel.

And don't be picky to my words.

Well you didn't say that at first, so there was some confusion, so it's all good now.

I would go for the ninja, performs good passive, damn good with quiet fan, and respectable with louder fan. But if you are going to use a louder fan the Infinity is better.

How about the tuniq tower which is now in stock at frozencpu, or the Ultra-120? If you are definitely going to use a fan, the Ultra-120 performs really well with a very quiet fan, and kicks some arse with a moderate fan as well.

Yeah tuniq tower looks great, but where I live it isn't available. I don't want to send just one cooler from USA, but thanks for suggestion.

Ninja works well with low airflow setups, and no, you DON'T have to remove the motherboard to install. It can even be used passively if you plan things out well in your case.

You could also try dampening your case with cardboard. Be aware of the firehazard though (or I'm just paranoid). I managed to nearly block out the sound if an A64 3200+ by blocking a side fan grill; was for a CPU vent that didn't fit. All temps remained the same except VC which went up 3C.
