Best Show on TV: "The Shield" Opinions?

Is 24 the one where they have 24 hours to go back in time fix something? I remember that show from a wihle ago but forgot what happened to it. When is it on and when did it start again?

24 is a show that unfolds in real time as agent Jack Bauer tried to stop a terrorist attack on the city of LA. It's on Fox at 9pm Tuesdays.

What can I say, from an outdoors background I love it. They are trying as hard as they can to ruin it though.


Tonight should be good, the rainforest has some weird stuff in it. I spent a week in the Costa Rican rain forest, and let me tell you, there is weird stuff growing/living off of other weird stuff, etc, etc, etc. I am going to start the leech count tonight.
 
Scrubs - funniest show on TV since Seinfeld IMO.

I never got into all those HBO shows back when we had HBO. They were good, but I honestly don't see what the big deal is. Some of the network dramas out there these days are just as high of quality IMO. Sure they can't use all the curse words or have nudity in them like the ones on HBO, but I still don't see what the big deal is. If I'm going to have to pay extra for a "premium" channel the last thing I want is 6 or 7 channels of "premium" programming that's 90% the same type TV shows over and over and over that I can get on my 100 other non-premium channels anyway. We wanted movies so we ended up switching to Starz.
 
Im liking the Jamie Kennedy Experiment quite a bit.

edit: prediction, i think Jamie Kennedy is going to be huge.Jim Carey huge maybe.
 
Best Show: The Shield!

This show came out of NOWHERE, and is just great. I actually had a dream about Vic Mackey the other night. I dreamt that he came running up to me with a gun, and just started blowing people away!

Runner Ups:

CSI
NYPD Blue
 
"The Shield" punches you from the side with some of the intensity and surprises they pull.

EXAMPLES:
When Mackey kills a fellow cop on his Strike Team.

When Mackey & gang go to Tijuana to capture a drug lord to get kidnapping money so Mackey can pay off a Private Dick searching for his wife AND then return over the border with bullets in the rental car (without getting arrested) AND return by the afternoon to meet up with INTERNAL Affairs who's threatening to close the Precinct and Strike Team.

The list goes on and on and on.

It's intense and FRESH!!! I like how FX has kept the gore, nudity, violence and foul language to make it as REAL and raw as any PG13 or R movie............The creator/writer Shawn Ryan is a genius. He'll be a HUGE name in Hollywood very soon.

The show won the Golden Globes last year for Best Actor and this year for Best Actor and Best Drama TV Show. It will most likely sweep the Emmys coming soon.

While Sopranos is getting stale for me, "The Shield" is BETTER than MOST movies--no question! (The Shield dvds on Netflix are really hard to get--I guess I'm not the only one who's hooked)

It would be hard to pick a favorite but I think The Shield has more staying power. They have to run out of crap for Jack to do and Kim has to die at some point 🙂.

Now that Kingpin is done, we have to settle for the merely outstanding 24 / The Shield lineup...
