So Im ready to give shaving a shot again. I stopped about a year ago because I get the absolute worst razor bumps/irritation/folliculitous/whatever else you wanna call it. I have very thick curly facial hair and dream about the day i can just wake up and shave everyday and not get irritated. Even when i used to shave i couldnt do it more than twice a week.

In case you were wondering i dont have a beard i just use a trimmer on it every few days and it gets about as close as i would be like a day after shaving.

So whats the best razor out there. I guess im more interested in trying out an electric because i think i may have a better chance with that. Ive heard braun's are pretty good. I used to use a fusion back in the day and im pretty sure thats the best blade out there but if theres somethin else thats better id give it a shot.

This may be my last attempt at shaving so I dont mind thowing money at it.

What have you tried?

There's no best razor for everyone. It may even be your shaving technique. You'll have to experiment and see what works for you.

ive tried almost every plain blade. fusion, mach3, quattro(worst one), gillette 2 blade (best results out of all of them). I also tried the first norleco that you could use in the shower like 8 years ago and it didnt work that great.

Search shave in off topic and prepare yourself for thousands of results. Whether it be down there in the front, ass, face, ears, chest, back, etc. I guarantee it has all been answered here.

Personally, I use either a Sensor Excel or a Mach 3 power. Just depends on which I have razors for at the moment.

Have you tried different methods of shaving? With the grain, against the grain, across the grain, etc?

Straight razor maybe?
