Bath and Body Works makes an aftershave gel that is a 100% cure for razor burn. It's $5/tube and comes in 4 scents. CHeck it out

Another vote for the Panasonic Linears. I wet shave with it and it's so much easier on my face than my old dry only shaver was.

LOL... doh! Yes, it's for the fiance. I like it better than my Venus razor though (tried the norelco on my hand), the Norelco doesn't cut at all.

He's right. I got this one about a month ago, and its great. No more buying a new pack of razor blades every 2 weeks.

I've had both Norelco and Remington electric razors. The Norelco felt smoother, but the Remington does a nice job. Both were the rotary style (3 head) rather than the flat-wide kind. I've used both and the rotary 3-head style works much, much better for me.

Anyway, my g/f says my face feels pretty smooth after I shave. That's all I really care about.

BTW, I paid $65 for my Remington Titanium at Sam's club. I think it retails for close to $100

I have a high end Norelco Reflex Action (about 7 years old and still looks and works like new). I've always mananged to cut/burn myself with any razor electric or other. With a new blade, the Norelco works great. Every year I have to replace the blades and towards the end of the year I start getting razor burn with greater frequency.

There is a big difference in electric shavers. If your facial hair does not grow in one direction, you should get a rotary shaver.

There have been excellent threads on how to get the best results from a regular blade (brigden's thread)

Oh, and one more major convenience for some electric shavers (like the Norelco) is they capture the hair they cut this makes them a lot cleaner to operate (and the more perceptive ladies are impressed by the lack of whisker dust in the bathroom sink)

I've had my Norelco 6885XL Deluxe Quadra Action razor since July 2001, and just replaced the heads a few weeks ago (3 yrs).
