im trying to get the max FPS running this game
im using the lateset omega drivers
9500Pro
512 Mb 400Mhz DDRAM
Gigabyte 7VAXP
2400+ Athlon

no matter what i do i can seem to get any higher than about 40-50 FPS then when there's intense fighting happening it drops to the mid 30's i currently have it just set to maximun performance in the display control panel.

any suggesting please post

m in the same boat as you.....a 9500pro but have slower ram and cpu......if you look at a few bench marks in game performance is limited to about 55-60 fps any way ...thats in Onslaught where theres the most stuff goin on and physics to calculate...my computer wont go above 40 and when theres a couple of people or a fire fight then im in the 20's or even teens!!!!

i find that no matter what resolution i play or what texture levels i set the FPS doesnt budge any.....i can play 1024x768 (coz thats the only res my monitor will reliably do) with 4xAA and 8XAF and see no change what so ever in performance...........the game is pretty much CPU limited so if u want extra FPS...try turning physics detail down and also world detail....the 9500pro shouldnt really be holding you back any.

i wouldnt worry about droppin to the 30's epic know how to make a game playable......if i never had FRAPS running i would have no idea i was only pushing 20's...non at all.....i only notice slow down when it gets to the teens!!

thanks for the input ill try messing with the settings, the only reason i ask is beacause i read another post and someone was saying that they were pusshing mid 80's and during intense battles it hardly ever went past the low 50's. so go figure?

PM them and ask them for their settings :)

depends what they play....certainly DM, CTF etc will have much higher frames.....i typically get in the 80's on those game types, and i have physics an world set to normal, textures and characters on high, full shadow and normal everything else

but ONSLAUGHT is my absolute favourite....thats whne my system begins to choke......my friend has a A64 3200 and 9700pro with 1gb of PC4000 ram and in onslaugh he never really gets above 60fps most of the time......course his doesnt choke like mine tho
