Which areas of town have the best bars for early to mid 20s people? My gf and I will be in Seattle for a Friday night in May so we figure we may as well try to get a hotel near some fun bars. Unfortunately I have no idea where the safe fun areas are.

I personally like drinking around the capital hill area.
Belltown is quite popular though and trendy, Queen Anne is cool, around pioneer square is not so much IMO, and the UDistrict.

agreed, Belltown is nice, Fremont is pretty good too for a good, bar-hopping time.

Freemont is pretty cool, i never think of it since I am in West Seattle and that is a little too far for me to go drink.

From my few visits there, I'd vote for Belltown.

I stayed downtown; it was an easy hike
