Question Best SD memory card manufacturer and which site is well trusted to order them?

My Windows 10 home computer acted up and somehow rendered my lexar platinum 300x unaccessable after it had difficulty reading it.

So to amend this, I need a new 8GB SD memeory card from the best SD memory card manufacturer and the most trusted site as I heard stories that there are counterfeits that only last short like those charging cables sold at night markets.

I don't need a really big cap SD card as I unload my camera SD card into my PC as soon as I get home and I'm jobless at the moment so every cent counts. So I'm going to wait until Boxing Day (December 26) to make my order - to dramatically reduce the money I spend.

I hope one of you have a good suggesstion.

They aren't the cheapest, and usually come in fairly large capacities, but so far I have had good luck with the Samsung Pro Endurance Micro SD card I got for my S20 FE phone. I had ordered two of them, in case one of them wears out, though so far so good. I got the 128GB version, which is only slightly more than the 64GB version right now, and it looks like the 32GB version is OOS. Anyway, it effectively doubles my phone's storage, so good deal.

https://www.amazon.com/SAMSUNG-Endurance-MicroSDXC-Adapter-security/dp/B09WB1857W/ currently on sale for $19 for the 128GB version.

I'm assuming you already tried reformatting the Lexar card? If it just got its file system hosed it might still work?

Generally speaking, buy flash memory from a company that makes its own NAND chips.

"Industrial" rated SD cards are more expensive in terms of $/GB, but usually are rated for more write cycles and longer life. No guarantees in life but I'd probably go that route. Since you only need a small one, it wouldn't even be that expensive.

Something like this one: https://www.amazon.com/dp/B07BZ5SY18
