Which science fiction mini-series do you consider to be the best?

I liked Dune, the Sci-Fi one. Less weird Baron stuff in that, than the movie.

not at all. I think you're nuts. That show is my favorite, and the mini-series that started it was what made me get so into it. It just has a different pace so it can fit as a weekly series, but the overall show is awesome.

I also liked the miniseries. Even though the book is still a billion times better, they did a decent job

I liked Children of Dune much better than the Sci-Fi Dune. The director of Dune borrowed way too many cinematic techniques from the old '60s Batman series, like when they would always show the villains in reddish light, with the camera angled at 40 degrees.

I haven't watched many Sci-fi mini-series but I thought "Taken" wasn't too bad.

Yup, I read Dune at least once a year. It's up there with Hitchhikers and other classics :thumbsup:

B5 had the made-for-tv movies ("In the Beginning" is the best one), and Farscape had The Peacekeeper Wars. Not really miniseries, but close.

This is true & I stand corrected ... it ran for 5 full seasons if I'm not mistaken.

I guess V would be my favorite sci-fi "mini-seris" even though I didn't like it all that much.
