I must have watched all 10 episodes at least 20 times and have been thinking of which one I like the most. I think episode 8, "The Breaking Point" is my favorite episode. In terms of scenes, gosh, if I could pick one I would say the attack in episode 5, "Crossroads" is the best, IMO. What do you think?

I thought the whole invasion in the beginning of the series was the best...with everyone chuting in and rounds just going off left and right...

Amen to that. That too was a great one...just wish Winter's landing wasn't so lame...the other guy hit with enough force that it was believable, IMO

I think Bastogne made me realize how bad some of the missions really were. It's hard to pick a favorite one, the entire series is just incredible.

Very true. In all, i'd have to say the entire series itself was amazing...so hard to choose just one scene, ya know?

Argh! Viper beat me to what i was gonna say!!!

I liked the the "Market Garden" episode. I can't get enough of this mini series. I could watch it over and over again.

When that guy went to pick up his laundry, and the woman asked him to pick up the other men's laundry :(

I thought it was 12, I though I counted 12 on the History Channel two weeks ago.

I liked the episode where they went into some city (probably French) and a ton of people got killed. It really shows how bad things were. Anyway, that city reminds me of CoD a lot because there is a place that looked just like it. I was probably episode five or so right before Market Garden which was another great episode.

I like the one with the sniper who takes out that guy who was a coward at first, then he gets shot in the neck at the end when he has all his confidence.

haven't seen any of these since they were on HBO the first time though, and i own the dvds :)

Crossroads is the fifth episode.

My favorites.... dunno, hard to pick. One of my favorite scenes is right after D-day when Winters leads the attack on the batteries at Brecourt Manor. I think Crossroads, Bastogne, and The Breaking Point (5, 6, and 7) are probably my three favorite episodes. I also like Why We Fight (9) a lot, too.

I like the scene when they are attacking Foy and Speirs takes over Easy. He runs across the city through the German lines to link up with other troops and then runs all the way back without getting hit. Now that is leadership.

I love them all :)

However, my favorite part is when Spiers runs through Foy, as TheBDB mentioned above.

Albert Blithe... I've always wondered if the part about him going blind for the day was true or not... anyone know?

I had never really thought much about what it was like for our soldiers to happen upon the concentration camps...I mean I knew that happened, but for them to have absolutely no idea what was going on, and then suddenly have to deal with feeding/saving them--I was just astounded by that scene

I don't think anyone but Blithe knows if he was actually blind.

Well, I don't mean to know whether or not he truly went blind, but if he actually reported going blind. I just wanted to know if that part of the movie was based on a true account.

However, from what I have read, he didn't die in 1948 as Band of Brothers reported. In fact, he died in 1967. Seems like a big mistake for Stephen Ambrose to make, though...

Overall, Bastogne was my favorite episode. Hard to imagine what it must've really been like just to dig yourself in and hope you don't get blown up. Oh yeah, all the while, freezing and starving at the same time.

My favorite scene was when they came upon the concentration camps in Why We Fight. Extremely powerful scene. Until that point, I had forgotten they didn't know about these camps at all.

Episode 7, The Breaking Point
I love this episode where spears relieves that grappy CO, the tank fires on him, and he jumps through the shell impact, haha. And then runs through to link up and runs back.. classic

Thats my favorite too. There's a lot of memorable parts, but a really loved how Winters made the rag tag group work together to assault those batteries. They were missing a lot their supplies and were from different groups but the attack was great. Winters was definately my favorite character in the series, he was a real leader.

I also liked it when they took out all of those SS guys I think, because they got the drop on them while they were asleep. They were heavily outnumbered if I remember.
