Looking to build an array out of some 250gb SATA disks I just bought and i was wondering what is a good solid hardware raid controler to use in linux.

I want to do Raid 5 and have the ability to have a hotspare and hotswap the drives.

LMK what you guys think

The other guys are right, the 3ware card is the only hardware sata controller currently available for linux or windows.

We're using an Escalade 8506-8 with 8 250GB Hitachi Deskstars, and it's working perfectly.
