everything about that sub is wrong. first, hickory smoke for beef? this isn't pork. second, sweet baby ray's? this isn't pork. next, cheese? on a brisket sandwich? wtf?

How to tell if someone is Texan by their posting.

The Muffaletta at Jason's deli is realllly good, but I think my favorite is the Ultimate Italian at a local place called The Hungry Bear.

Wawa hoagies are pretty good. They drop the price to $3.99 for their 10 inch sandwich from 4-8pm every day. You can pretty much get whatever the hell you want on it, and it's still the same price, so that's a plus.

I usually get a toasted italian hoagie, extra oil/vinegar, bacon, roasted red peppers, provolone, and no lettuce, tomato or onion.

Wawa? Are u nuts. At one time their sandwiches were decent, but now everything is presliced and prepackaged.

I had a panera sandwich when I was in jersey and thought it was god awful.

oh, if we're counting philly cheesesteaks, that shit is way up in the rankings

so good

It's amazing how the quality of Panera differs from store to store. The one by my work makes sandwiches out of unicorn meat wrapped in rainbows and grandmas love, while the one by my house dips each sandwich in the toilet before serving it.

The BLT that I make.

1) Thin sliced 3-cheese bread from Panera, toasted on only the outside using the bagel setting of your toaster (if equipped)
2) Thick sliced, peppered, apple wood smoked bacon, cooked until crispy (because there's nothing worse than chewy bacon in a BLT!), no less than 6-8 slices in the sandwich, more if you prefer and applied in a lattice/layered format
3) Fresh heirloom tomato from the local farmer's market, salt and pepper the slice lightly
4) Fresh romaine lettuce
5) Kraft home style mayo (don't fucking even mention Miracle Whip)
6) Course ground, seed style mustard, lightly applied on one slice of the bread
7) Cut diagonally, because all sandwiches taste better when they're cut diagonally. Perpendicular cuts are for losers.

I like a good Cuban sammich... a place near me called Maggie McFly's makes a good one.

Who makes the best cheesesteak in PA, anyway?

RIP spice table pork belly banh mi

all the awesomeness of a banh mi combined with the awesomeness of pork belly. it was like the most glorious pastrami banh mi ever.

Langer's Deli on 7th & Alverado in LA. Best pastrami in the country. I'll leave it to you to decide if you prefer the pastrami, swiss and coleslaw on rye, or the pastrami reuben. All other responses in this thread are incorrect.

Most overrated sandwich is the Philly Cheesesteak. That was a serious disappointment when I finally had one on the east coast. I had had them in California and they sucked but i figured they must be better on the east coast, similar to how the macaroni and cheese is way better there. Turns out they are just a bad.

Bahn mi is so unique tasting, needs a category of its own. Spam and scrambled eggs works for me a lot of the time.

Local BBQ told me pastrami is smoked corned beef, or same source meat as used in corned beef.

Son's top sandwich, chicken Parmesan with Alfredo instead of marinara, add bacon.

Lonestar prime rib sandwich is often very good.

Some of my favorite sandwiches have been turkey, bacon, avocado based.

The club sandwich at the hotel Mercure in Vienna. It had grilled chicken breast, ham, bacon, egg, lettuce & tomato. I had it four times the two weeks I stayed there.

big thumbs up! Reading this made my wife and I reminisce about our time in Vienna. The Schnitzel sandwich in all its glorios simplicity was fantastic there as well though my favorite was the street vendor outside the Statsoper.. Omg if I could go back in time and eat one of those sandwiches standing in the back of the theater watching Hermann Prey standing next to my future wife I would be a satisfied man.

Vienna is a great city! Never had a bad meal the whole time I was there.
