well..you could've saved a LOT of money for "not being stable at 2.8"...i mean you could 've gotten a 3200 and "not being stable at 2.8" 🙂

Hopefully I will have a newer A64 here in 4-6 weeeks with a quest for 2.8+ghz....Happy with the vid card since I really dont game. I could use faster drivers and maybe some sort opf RAID config...Likely get a card for that and put another raptor on it with the first one....

I think youi have the best rig as of right now (well...nothin g specifies water cooling on this)...nice overclock though

Thanks for the vote...I am sure it is good for us non serious gamers, but around here I would bet the sli systems may garner the drool...

Built my rig about three months ago.

Intel 925X Motherboard
Antec True 550w PS
Pentium 4 3.4GHz
1 GB Corsair XMS2 PC-5400
eVGA 6800 GT PCI-E @ above ultra speeds
2x74GB Raptors ( Games and other junk on Raid0, other stuff on Raid1 )
200GB 7200rpm SATA HD
Creative Soundblaster 2

I use this for a lot of gaming, but I also have it set up with a Hauppauge PVR card for recording lotsa TV.

Cost? ... Way too much ($2300 for all parts), but it's my only hobby and I have no girlfriend to worry about, hah 😛

My computer's not the best out there, but gets the job done. Already had the monitor etc.

Soyo SY-P4RC350--$0 (I actually got my rebate....must have been luck)
P4 3.0 Prescott socket 478 ($190)
1gb Kingston PC 3200 ($150)
Radeon 9800pro 128mb ($199)
Samsung CDr (already had)
NEC DVDrw (already had)
Samsung floppy (already had)
CompUSA case ($29)
Antec 480w True ($99)

Grand total was $667 plus another $87 for OS. Have 3 other builds of laughable stature in the house for the kids' rooms.

Just out of curiosity... If you do a lot of gaming, and you built it recently, why the P4? One of the main advantages of an A64 for gamers, is that it smokes any P4. Including the mighty P4EE.

Thanks. There a lot of other people on AT with better rigs (SLI Ultra's, crazy O/C'd water cooled CPU, Video & RAM), but I guess they just hang out in the O/C area.

Mine's not the best, but it can hold its own:

Dual Athlon MP 2800+
768MB PC2100 Registered ECC Memory
Radeon 9700 overclocked to 371/564 with Funky Fan (TM) Technology
PC Power and Cooling 510W Deluxe PSU
LSI Ultra 160 SCSI 64-bit Host Adapter
Hauppage WinTV PVR-250 TV Card
Turtle Beach Santa Cruz Sound Card
Seagate 10K SCSI 18GB Drive
Western Digital 80GB SE ATA Drive
Western Digital 160GB SE ATA Drive
Maxtor 300GB 16MB Cache ATA Drive
Quantum Altas 10K SCSI 18.3 GB Drive
TDK 40x12x48 CD-RW
Pioneer 16x Slot Load
Codegen S-201 Server Case (AKA The Table)
Viewsonic P95F 19" CRT
Emachines E17T 17" LCD

Pretty soon I'm adding:

36GB 15K SCSI Drive
Some ATI Dual Video Card
Another 17" LCD
512MB PC2100-R ECC
