Best restaurants in New Jersey

Josh

Lifer
Name some and I will try check them all out over time.

I'll start...

Penang - Malaysian - Edison, NJ
Al Dente - Italian - Piscataway, NJ

THE MANOR.

Not sure what city it's in, but goddamn that restaurant is out of this world. 5* restaurant that's dirt cheap (well, compared to LA)

I'm dining there this Saturday (also thinking about having our wedding there).

Will update with a  or .

Honestly, after I went there I txt'ed my Gf and was like "I want to have my wedding here"

It is SPECTACULAR. Are you going to the buffet or dining? If dining, I would recommend the ceasar salad, oysters, and lamb. I would rate it as a top 5 dining experience, and for the price I don't think it can be beat.

I'm not much for fine dining myself. If you want the best pizza in NJ, it's either Central Pizza in Somerville or Nicolosi's in Phillipsburg.

Yeah, you didn't like 3 West very much that one time. 🙂

These guys in Warren are awesome...best service I've ever had. Used to eat there twice a week.

I know it is, but Phillipsburg is a much better known town, and it's on the border. Used to live in the area.

Best garlic knots in NJ - Alpha Sub (now known as Andy's something or another)

And since you're apparently familiar with the area, check out Colonial Pizza (& Spaghetti House) over in Easton.

Magic Grill in Garwood, NJ and the Lobster House in Cape May are two of my favorite restaurants.

Magic Grill! Ha! That place is awesome. I wouldn't say the food is excellent or anything, though.

Penang - Malaysian - Edison, NJ

You like Penang? Ehhh...

I'm a fan of Avenue East in Cranford - it's like a mix of Thai and Japanese and whatnot - they call it "Asian Fusion". Two Tony's in Linden looks like garbage from the outside but the food is great. I'm also a fan of the grease trucks in New Brunswick every once in a while.
