i would run 1152x864 at the highest refresh rate possible. 1280x1024 makes everything too small and 1024x768 ameks it just a little too big. i have pretty good eyes i guess so these are the settings i like.

I use 1152x864@85hz on my monitor. If the video drivers supported it, however, I would use 1280x960. 1280x1024 it not in standard proportions, so everything looks squished on a normal monitor.

I run at 1024*768, 85Hz, because I'm cursed with the ability to see flicker @75, the max my monitor does at 1152*864 :(

I run my P76 at work 1280x1024
But my AV-7T at home can only handle 1152x864
My new P900 is humming along at 1600x1200 :)

well, depends on how sensitive your eyes are.

mine are very sensitive and a refresh below 85hz makes my eyes water :p
my KDS monitor does 1024x768 @ 85hz so that's the setting i use. basically, i'd reccomend 1024x768 or higher

15" -- 800X600
17" -- 1024X768
19" -- 1280X1024
21" -- 1600X1200

If you sat down with every brand and model of monitor, from bad to excellent, I think the above resolutions would be the best average for each size monitor. Just remember that you can go with higher resolutions and adjust the screen font size to make it work best.

As high as it goes at atleast 75hz.

I also run 1600x1200 on my 20", everything else seems so big now =)

I used to run, and love, 2048x1536 on a 21" .... the higher the resolution the better, as long as I can maintain at least 80Hz refresh, anything higher looks the same to me, but lower bugs me with flicker...
