Best remote Pc controlling Ap?

Something that will give easy acces to someone else to control my Pc for the server without me having to be home to accept the remote request to share desktop?

PCAnywhere is pretty good. You can give remote access by password to someone that you trust and then they'll be able to access the puter from anywhere on the internet.

I've used both VNC and PCAnywhere. I use VNC to control my iMac at home behind a firewall from my PC here at work. That way I can test whether or not the webpages I design work on Macs (I'm a web developer/Java programmer). I use PCAnywhere to control my work PC from my laptop. I usually VPN in to work's network, and then connect to my PC to do software builds and transfer files that I work on at home.
PCAnywhere has crashed a couple times on me (which means a trip out to work to reboot the computer) and VNC isn't too stable on a Mac. I doubt it ever will since they're no longer doing any work on VNC. I like PCAnywhere though since it has more options for encryption and security. Both sound like they would work for you. One other note, VNC is free, PCAnywhere is not.

Tight VNC = VNC but better 🙂 VNC is cool cause you don't have to use a client. It can be accessed via any web browser that supports java. Only problem is if you have a high resolution/color desktop it is slooww. Netmeeting is also good if you have 9x-2K. It seems much faster. You normally don't have to worry about having a client for that either since netmeeting is on most machines already. Netmeeting sux if you have a firewall though because of the ammount of ports you would have to forward.

edit: typos

I can only comment on pcAnywhere and Dameware from my own personal experience and I would not recommend pcAnywhere. Dameware on the other hand is extermely easy to use for a novice and has some really nice advanced features. Dameware is also easily pushed onto a clients machine to install if u know their ip, and needs zero configuration.
