Best remote admin software

Hey guys
I dont have much experience with remote assistance apps. Ive only used the one that comes with xp and runvnc.
What do you guys use / think is the best for doing remote control over the internet. Ive heard that some are much faster than others, and i have no clue what to choose, so if yuo guys have had experice with this...
thanks

I happen to be partial to UltraVNC, it's free, fast, and has file transfer and chat. If you're running 2K/XP, they have a really fast video hook driver that offers rapid screen updates, even over slow links.

I use a few different ones. I frequently use VPN to connect to work then use Radmin to connect to my workstation at work, then use Dameware on it to control other workstations.

VNC
Radmin
Dameware

1. Terminal Service is the best over any of them for screen refresh and real time usage.
2. VNC is best if you need to be logged onto the workstation as though you were really at the keyboard, i.e if you need to run an app and leave the current user logged on.
3. All the others are basically VNC/PC Anywhere knowckoffs, VNC sucks for screen refresh no matter what driver you use.

I get excellent screen refresh with UltraVNC, I'm not sure why you think it sucks. I don't play real-time video games when I'm doing tech support... 🙂

I have use UltraVNC as well, it isnt bad, but it isnt good either. Non of the VNC products compare to RDP in any manner.
